Chinese Automobile Company Launches New BYD Seal in 2025
Dubela, Ankesh Roy: The Chinese automobile company BYD, ultimately launches the BYD Seal in 2025. Among the various variants, the base dynamic model, starts at Rs 41 lakhs (ex-showroom) which haven’t changed as it’s earlier model. There are two more models, the premium model, using Rear wheel drive (RWD) pricing at Rs 45,70,000 (ex-showroom) and the top performing model, using All Wheel Drive (AWD) pricing at Rs 53,15,000 (ex-showroom). The model comes with a price hike of Rs15,000.
The new BYD Seal variants come with new features and new upgrades, there are various interior upgrades with new power sunshade, a silver-plated dimming canopy, a newly designed AC system with better compressor which enhances cooling, it also provides better air purifier. The interior upgrades also include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, with the new sound wave feature it enhances the acoustic sound quality and better music experience in the cabin.
The upgrade BYD seal 2025 model have increased its battery capacity, it’s power output and range. The base model, Dynamic, comes with 61.44 kWh battery pack that produces a power output of 201 bhp and torque of 310 Nm, which claims a range of 510 km. Meanwhile, the Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) model provides larger 82.56kWh battery, which generates a power output of 308 bhp and torque of 360 Nm with a range of 650 km. The top-spec All Wheel Drive (AWD) Performance model sports an 82.56kWh battery and produces a power output of 523 bhp and torque of 670 Nm, which claims a range of 580 km. This model also provides with redesigned and upgraded charging options. The base model comes 7kW AC charger, which lasts till 12 hrs. to get charged fully. In the dynamic trim model, which supports up to 110kW of DC charging and which can charge 85 per cent in just an hour.
The Premium models can support up to 150 kW DC charging, which drastically takes lesser time which makes it more efficient for longer trips. The newly designed BYD seal also have better and upgraded suspension which enhances the ride quality and handling. The premium trim variant has Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD), which automatically adapted according to the road conditions and gives smooth and controlled driving experience. This model also includes DiSus-C intelligent damping system, which actively respond in real-time and provides comfort and better stability in the uneven surfaces.
