Upcoming Film ‘Kingdom’ Delays Release Amid Indo-Pak Tensions Vijay Deverakonda Shares Update

Dubela, Anuja Chakraborty: Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming action film Kingdom has been delayed due to the rising tensions between India and Pakistan. The makers felt it was not the right moment to release such a big film during a sensitive time for the country. Originally set to release on May 30, 2025, the film will now hit theaters on July 4, 2025. In an official statement, the team explained that the prevailing circumstances had made it difficult to proceed with promotions or celebrations as initially planned.

The announcement was made by Vijay Deverakonda himself on his social media account. He shared a behind-the-scenes picture with director Gowtam Tinnanuri and wrote, “Kingdom July 04, 2025. Will see you in the cinemas.” Along with the new release date, the film’s team issued an official statement explaining the reason for the delay.

Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, known for the hit film Jersey, Kingdom is a spy thriller. It stars Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role, along with Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. The teaser has already generated attention, with voiceovers by Jr. NTR (Telugu), Suriya (Tamil), and Ranbir Kapoor (Hindi). Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander. Fans are now eagerly awaiting the film’s release on July 4, hoping for a grand cinematic experience.
