Pakistan Keeps Violating Ceasefire Understanding; India Ready to Reply

Dubela, Ankesh Roy: A few hours after India and Pakistan agreed to halt military actions, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri stated that Pakistan has violated the ceasefire multiple times since Saturday, May 10, 2025. He emphasized that the Indian Army is responding firmly and appropriately to these breaches.
In a late-night media briefing, Mr. Misri urged Pakistan to take these violations seriously and act responsibly to restore peace. “For the past few hours, Pakistan has broken the ceasefire agreement reached earlier this evening between the top military officials of both countries,” said Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri. “This is a clear violation of the agreement. Our armed forces are responding firmly and appropriately. We are taking these violations very seriously.”
The ceasefire announcement from India came shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump announced that India and Pakistan had agreed to a “full and immediate” ceasefire following peace talks facilitated by the U.S.
