Rahul Gandhi urges Prime Minister to Acknowledge Pahalgam Victims as Martyrs
Dubela, Kankana Maity: Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to grant martyr status to those got killed in the Pahalgam terror attack. In a post on X, the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed his solidarity with the victim’s families and supported their demand for recognizing the deceased as martyrs.
“I stand with the families of those killed in the Pahalgam attack in their grief and demand for martyr status to them” – Rahul says. He conveyed his urge to the Prime Minister to honour the sentiments of the families who have lost loved ones and expressed solidarity with grieving families in his hindi post on the microblogging platform.
On Wednesday, the Congress MP from Rae Bareli met the family of a Pahalgam attack victim in Kanpur and demanded martyr status for the deceased. Rahul Gandhi told the reporters that he had met a victim’s family and requested to send a message to Prime Minister. On behalf of the families Gandhi conveyed the message to the PM to give appropriate status of martyr and respect to the tourists underwent the Pahalgam attack.
Rahul Gandhi visited Shubham Dwivedi’s family in Kanpur and said the opposition is demanding a special session of Parliament to ensure justice for the Pahalgam attack victims.
