Saudi Arabia temporarily bans Visas for India and 13 other countries ahead of Hajj 2025

Dubela, Riddhi Biswas: As the Hajj 2025 pilgrimage approaches, Saudi Arabia has put a temporary ban on issuing certain types of visas for people from 14 countries, including India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. This ban is to stay in place probably until mid-June, which is when the Haji is going to end.

The affected visas include Umrah, business, and family visit visas. The move has been made in order to ensure that no one attempts to perform Hajj without any proper registration or permission. Saudi Arabia wants to make sure the process is well-organized and safe for all pilgrims.

Apart from India, other countries on the list are: Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Nigeria, Jordan, Algeria, Sudan, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Yemen, and Morocco.

The Hajj pilgrimage is set to take place from June 4-9, 2025, and every year, millions of Muslims from around the world travel to Makkah to perform it. To manage the huge crowd and avoid any misuse of visa categories, this temporary measure has been taken.
