Owaisi Labels Pakistan a ‘Failed Nation’; Calls for Stronger Measures Post-Pahalgam Attack

Dubela, Satrajit Das: In a fiery address at a public meeting in Hyderabad, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi condemned Pakistan as a “failed nation”, incapable of ensuring peace within its borders or maintaining harmonious relations with neighbouring countries like Iran and Afghanistan. He emphasized that Pakistan’s internal discord and external hostilities continue to hinder regional stability. Owaisi also urged the Indian government to consider placing Pakistan on the Financial Action Task Force grey list, citing its alleged sponsorship of terrorism especially in light of the recent Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives.
Owaisi didn’t hold back in criticizing Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir for his anti-India stance. He reminded the General that Indian Muslims had firmly rejected Jinnah’s ideology back in 1947 and chose to remain in India. According to him, such repeated provocations from Pakistani leaders only highlight the country’s inability to come to terms with India’s democratic and secular ideology.
He also took a swipe at a former Bangladeshi army officer who recently made controversial remarks suggesting a collaboration with China to “occupy” India’s northeastern states. Owaisi dismissed the statement as absurd and historically blind, reinforcing that such rhetoric does nothing but strain regional peace further.
