Travel Companies including EaseMyTrip suspends packages to Turkey, Azerbaijan

Dubela, Chhoyee Ghosh: Following Turkey and Azerbaijan’s open support for Pakistan in the ongoing India-Pakistan conflict, major travel companies—including EaseMyTrip, Cox & Kings, and Travomint—have suspended all travel packages to these two countries, demonstrating solidarity with India.
After Operation Sindoor, in which the Indian Army targeted and destroyed nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, Turkey and Azerbaijan expressed strong support for Pakistan. The Azerbaijani government issued a statement condemning India’s actions and expressing concern over civilian casualties. Similarly, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs described India’s strikes as “provocative.” It was also reported that Pakistan has been using Turkish-made Asisguard Songar drones.
In response, major travel companies such as EaseMyTrip and Cox & Kings have suspended existing packages and halted new bookings to Turkey and Azerbaijan as a show of support for India. EaseMyTrip’s founder and chairman, Nishant Pitti, highlighted concerns over traveler safety and advised customers to stay informed and exercise caution when booking trips to sensitive regions amid the ongoing conflict.
Cox & Kings director Karan Agarwal echoed this sentiment, stating their decision to stop new bookings aligns with the country’s stance. Shortly afterward, Travomint’s CEO, Alok K. Singh, confirmed their official decision to boycott travel to Turkey and Azerbaijan under the current circumstances.
