Youth of India not safe in Tamil Nadu!
Dubela, Tanisha Das: In a Madurai, Tamil Nadu temple parking lot, a teenager was killed. This incident took place just a few days after a brutal incident where a 10-year-old girl was kidnapped, sexually assaulted and very brutally murdered near Sulur in Coimbatore district. Two violent crimes took place in Tamil Nadu back to back against minors. Bharatiya Janata Party hit out at the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Vijay, over the disrupted law and order situation in the state.
Vijay is the actor turned politician whose party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), won 105 seats and formed the government in the 2026 Assembly election. As the new government is formed, BJP questions the safety of Tamil Nadu. All these terrifying incidents happened just after the massive win of TVK with the help of an alliance formed with Congress and DMK. Police suspect that these crimes were conducted by personal enemies; the motive behind them was killing.
People of the state are raising concerns over crimes involving youngsters. State Secretary P. Shanmugam called for effective measures to be taken for child and women safety. The entire state was shocked by these incidents.
